St. Luke's Cathedral

The William McMurray Corporation is a not-for-profit run by volunteers from St. Luke’s Cathedral. The corporation maintains and operates the William McMurray Building which houses 18 apartment units, and the Diocese of Algoma office.

The William McMurray Corporation's mission is to provide affordable housing to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, citizens with limited income. The corporation and the building are named after William McMurray, who was one of the first Anglican missionaries to live in the Algoma district in the early nineteenth century.

St. Luke's Cathedral's dedicated volunteer group forms the William McMurray Corporation Board of Directors. These volunteers are responsible for managing the day-to-day maintenance of the William McMurray Building.
